Never to be contained by one specific expression, I love meandering through a variety of ideas, mediums, and instruments. Skye Studios, LLC is not only a place that allows me endless opportunities for artistic expression, but it also provides a home. A home where each one of my pursuits and interests can live. Children’s Books
The turbulent arrival of my daughter sparked a number of whimsical stories in my head. Being an avid fantasy reader and lover of charming illustrations, I decided I wanted to bring my own stories to life.
I started my first children’s board book, Huckleberry Hill in December 2023. With scenery inspired by my new home in the Inland Northwest and channeling an adventurous young girl who loves to befriend nature, this book came to life.
With my first time illustrating, writing, and self-publishing a complete work, there was a lot to learn. I hope this first book is the start of many more to come!
Candles
Who doesn’t love a good candle? I love the cozy glow of a natural flame and brewing up concoctions of comforting fragrances. I started making my own candles in-home on a mission to reduce my single-use consumption. After formulating, calculating, and testing, I discovered a great option. Before long my friends and family also wanted to participate and started requesting refills. Hence, Skye Studios was born.
My aim is to be resourceful and remain mindful of environmental impacts; carefully selecting the materials I utilize and finding ways to reduce single use items (while also still creating)!

Candle Refills
Candle refills / inserts are used at the buyer’s own risk.
Here are a few tips:
Use the inserts only in the original jar and no other vessel. Do NOT use them without a vessel.
Closely monitor your jar and immediately repurpose or recycle it if you notice any deformity or crack in the glass.
Before placing the insert in the jar, make sure the jar is properly cleaned and that the two wood wicks are properly placed to the bottom (each refill comes with two wick stickers).
Jar sizes can slightly vary and the refill may not fit perfectly. Do NOT force the refill into the jar. You can shave off some of the wax to ensure proper fit and placement. (I use a butter knife to file down the edges).

Music
I have been studying and creating music for as long as I can remember. From the world of opera to the world of music therapy, it has been a core part of my person and career. In 2022 I completed my first album, Summer in The South. Inspired by the stories, sounds, and surroundings, I created a folk album commemorating my experience of Appalachia living.
